I have been leveling my shaman for a while now, a few levels every now and then when I had time. The plan was to level through dungeons as restoration so I picked Sharas’dal, Scepter of Tides as my first artifact weapon. But I wanted to be able to solo quests as well so I picked the elemental weapon, The Fist of Ra-den, as my second artifact weapon because I used to have elemental as my off spec in previous expansions. I never really liked elemental, it was just a spec I had to have to be able to solo. Things haven’t changed, I still don’t like it.. So I went and got my third artifact weapon, the Doomhammer, and enhancement turned out to be incredible fun! I’ve never really played enhancement before because my main spec was restoration and all my gear had intellect on it, so it was simpler to have elemental as off spec. But it’s so much easier now when the gear got both intellect and agility!
My BF leveled with me, first on his priest and then restoration druid. We did both quests and dungeons. I played enhancement more than I played restoration because he wanted to heal in dungeons. Now on 110 my plan is to have restoration as my main spec, but I might try out enhancement in PvP because it looks like a lot of fun.
A funny story… I hit 110 and thought I might try to do some world quest for gear upgrades, because my gear was terrible and I wanted to increase my item level to be able to queue heroic dungeons and looking for raid. So I did some quests that rewarded gear and noticed I had completed 3/4 Warden quests and went to complete the fourth one. Then I went to Warden’s Redoubt to complete the quest for doing four world quest and get the box and artifact power. So, I just completed my first four world quests and got my first box.
Can you guess what was in it?
LEGENDARY!!! My first legendary in Legion, on my shaman, my alt, that had been level 110 for only a couple of hours… My druid still doesn’t have a legendary which I think is a bit strange because I have done so many world quests and quite a few dungeons. It seems like almost everyone else, at least in my guild, have gotten their legendary, many even got two.. Well, some of them have played much more than me and they raid every week which I don’t. But still, I hope it will be my druid’s turn to get a legendary soon.
How many characters have you leveled to 110? Do you have a legendary?
It was a Tuesday evening a few weeks ago when my boyfriend and I decided to find a last-minute pug to Highmaul normal. He went on his main, the monk tank, I decided to go on my alt, resto shaman. We didn’t have high expectations because it was late Tuesday evening and by then most people have already completed the raids, so we just wanted to find a group that could manage to kill one or two bosses so we could have a chance to get some loot.
We found a group in looking for raid and joined. The first boss went down pretty quick and we continued to the next one who was easy as pie. We went on and the rest of the bosses went down on first try! Even the last one which I didn’t even know tactics for. Who would have thought. I was even lucky enough to get some upgrades.
So I’ve reached my goal of defeating all bosses on normal, but I would like to clear them all on heroic as well. I did 6/7 bosses on heroic with my guild during the Christmas holidays when they arranged a raid for both raiders and socials, I played my druid and it was really fun but much harder than normal. I’ve also tried a heroic pug on my shaman with a few guildies but it didn’t go very well, we only got to the Butcher and had some good tries but we just couldn’t do it. Resto shaman is one of my favorite classes to play in raids.
My shaman, Tojo, is now level 100! I leveled as enhancement while questing and restoration in dungeons. I prefer restoration as it has been my main spec for years so it will continue to be my main spec. My boyfriend leveled his death knight with me and he has decided to be a tank, so we’re planning to get some gear through heroic dungeons so we can get into looking for raid soon. I’m a bit nervous about healing heroic dungeons because I’ve seen how much trouble some other healers have had there when I’ve done heroics on my druid, but hopefully it’s not as difficult as it looked then. My gear isn’t very good yet, I’m still using some old level 95 gear pieces but I’ll swap them out as soon as I get something better. I bought the Darkmoon/Inscription trinket Winged Hourglass to boost my item level a little.
Have you leveled up any of your alts yet?
Druid Cycle Armor
Shaman Windfury Set
We finally got it done this week! My boyfriend and I looked for a group that sold boosts for quite some time because we had never done any of the challenge modes and we never had anyone to do them with. So we thought it would be easier and we would save a lot of time and stress by just paying someone to drag us through it. We found three friendly Swedes in Consilium, the guild we’re social in on Kazzak, who only wanted 60 000 gold per character if we wanted to boost two characters each. That was perfect for us because my boyfriend wanted to boost his death knight and druid, and I wanted to boost my shaman and druid.

It went very smoothly, no real wipes and not many deaths. We did one run on Sunday and one on Thursday, it took around 2-3 hours to complete each run. We were extra careful not to do anything wrong but the boosters knew exactly what to do and where to go, so we just followed them and did as they said.
I’m so happy with my new transmogs on both my druid and shaman and the mounts!
Which characters have you completed the Challenge Modes on?
I completed the legendary quest and got the cloak on my shaman a few days ago.
I was stuck on the Secrets of the First Empire quest for several months because I got bored with the game after Ash disbanded so I didn’t feel like playing a lot, and if I first decided to play I couldn’t be bothered to run Looking For Raid because the drop rate of the quest items seemed so low and the other players there were usually so bad, annoying and rude that it made me want to just press Alt F4.
But then, months later, I read about the Gaze of the Black Prince buff and I decided to complete the rest of the quest chain because I didn’t really have that much left. I don’t remember how much time I spent completing the Secrets quest, maybe a few weeks, it felt like that quest took the longest time because you had to collect 20 quest items. The Thunder Forge solo scenario with Wrathion was very fun to do again, this time as a healer. I thought it would be hard, but it was very easy. It took me a week to collect the Titan Runestones but after that the rest of the quests were very simple and quick to complete.
I’m glad that I completed the quests and got the cloak now because I read that they are removing it in Warlords in Draenor. So if you’re planning to complete the legendary quest chain on one of your characters, you better hurry up and get it done before they remove it. Wowhead has a great guide which I followed, Mists of Pandaria’s Legendary Questline Guide.
