Solstice Challenge: Day 9-10

Matty wrote a post a few days ago, about how the fall and winter can be dark and sad, and has now started a challenge where the topic is light:

Twenty-One Days, starting today, December 1, of things in Azeroth of Light Screenshots, from now until December 21. This works for both sides of the equator, seeing how we’re getting darker days in the North, the South is getting lighter. The only hitch I will add is you have to add a caption or haiku to your screenshot. The topic/theme is light, and all its incarnations.

Day 9

crystalsong

It is like a forest crafted from crystal, although the crystals are not trees.
They are as tall as trees and appear to sprout from the ground; however, the ground is crystal as well.
It appears to be like a winter scene, snow and ice blanketing the ground, the rocks, the trees.
However the snow and ice is crystal that glows from within. Beauty and peace fills Crystalsong Forest.
The crystals make noise — they sing. Ancient magic is at work here.

Day 10

Naaru

When Sargeras and the Burning Legion came to the world of Argus and began corrupting the eredar race, Velen, an eredar leader, prayed for help. The naaru appeared, offering to take Velen and any other like-minded eredar to safety. Velen and his faction accepted and began to call themselves draenei. The draenei hastily escaped Argus aboard the Dimensional Ship provided for them by the naaru.

During the draenei’s journey, the enigmatic naaru race blessed them with Light-given knowledge and power. The naaru explained that there were other forces in the cosmos that would stand against the Burning Legion. One day the naaru would forge them into a single unstoppable army of the Light. Deeply affected by the naaru’s words, the draenei vowed to honor the Light and uphold the naaru’s altruistic ideals.
