In Dragon Soul I’m continuously changing my spec. It depends on which boss we’re working on or what my job is on that particular boss. I’ve tried different specs as we’ve been progressing through heroic modes and we’re now on 5/8 25 heroic.
You can find my current spec here. This spec should work great for all bosses in Dragon Soul and is also ok for soloing and dungeons.
Some talents are optional and you should choose what best fits your playstyle or the encounter:
- Solar Beam – Interrupt can be very useful when soloing, doing dungeons or even in raids
- Fungal Growth – Slowing effect on the ground where your Wild Mushrooms detonate or Treants die, great in PvP and encounters where slowing adds is needed like Cho’gall
- Lunar Shower – Increases damage by Sunfire and Moonfire when you’re moving but costs more Solar/Lunar energy. Good in movement fights and on some AoE
- Gale Winds – If your mana is good and you can afford to use Hurricane for AoE like when Detonate Wild Mushrooms is on cooldown
- Dreamstate – If you use your Innervate on yourself and got mana problems
- Moonglow – Not the very best mana talent, choose Dreamstate and Furor over this
- Furor – If you need more mana
- Blessing of the Grove – Slightly small damage increase, but it’s still a damage increase I say
- Perseverance – Great on most bosses as it reduces spell damage taken

The build is good, But I fail to understand why you’ve put 2 Points in BLESSING OF THE GROVE (Resto), as 6% increased direct damage from Moonfire is not much improvement.
I use this build:

Because it still gives extra damage, and I don’t have any mana problems so I don’t really need Furor.
It might be a dps improvement but BotG is very weak on normal fights (and merely fairly weak on fights with a lot of movement).
I would recommend Preserverance, in pve practially all damage we take is magical and you cannot dps when you are dead
(also very useful in pvp) but each to his own.
